Washington University has been my dream school since 8th grade, but since my school offered to pay for community college because of my grades and mentoring work, I chose not to apply to WUSTL in high school.

I'm here today for a Phi Theta Kappa convention, and the school is even more amazing than I thought! Everything is so beautiful and sophisticated. I know I shouldn't put all my hopes into one school, but if I'm not accepted, I'm going to be devastated.

I'm currently a student at Jefferson College, which is a very community college. I can graduate this Fall, but since WUSTL doesn't accept Spring transfers, I'm considering staying for an extra semester. I would be transferring (into the Biology program) with an Associates Degree.

Below are my "stats," please let me know how you think I'll fare in the transfer pool and what I can do to raise my chances. I'm particularly worried about my high school ACT score.

Credentials:
High School GPA: 3.93 unweighted
High School EC's: Chess club, National Honor Society, Newspaper club, HiSTEP (kid anti drug program)
Last ACT (taken as a senior) 28
College GPA: I'm hoping to finish out with a 3.95 or so.
College EC's: Student Senate for 2 years, Vice President of Fellowship in PTK honor society, I won an essay award for Senate as well.
Recommendations: I expect my teachers to give me good recommendations. I've been a good, inquisitive student.
Miscellaneous: I've been trying to finish college quickly. I took 25 hours my first semester, and have been taking the most challenging classes my school offers since then(admittedly not very hard).

I can provide you with any other information you might want that will help assess my chances to transfer. Thanks!
