Hi! I'm currently a Junior and I'm practically obsessed with the notion of attending Middlebury. I'm not the best student, nor do I know my class rank, but I want to know how hard I should work these next two years and what I should score on the SAT's for a chance.

Freshman year:
World Civilizations L2 (B)
French I L2 (B)
Honors English I (B)
Earth Science L2 (B)
Algebra I L2 (C)
Art L3 (A)

Sophomore year:
Honors US History I (B)
Honors English II (B)
French II L2 (B)
Creative Writing/Discussion and Debate L2 (A)
Latin I L1 (B)
Biology (B)
Geometry (B)

Junior year:
AP English
AP Psychology
Honors US History II
Honors French III
Sociology L2
Chemistry L2
Algebra II L2

My unweighted GPA is a 3; my weighted GPA is 3.25 at the moment. I'm hoping to bring it up to a 3.2/4.5 by the end of this year. (My goal is to have an overall unweighted GPA of 3.5 and a weighted GPA of 3.9.)
From what I hear, Middlebury doesn't focus too directly on GPA's. I'm sincerely hoping this is true and I am wondering what you all have to say about it?

In my Senior year, I'm hoping to take:
AP English II
AP Chemistry
AP World Civilizations
Honors French VI
Humanities L2
Computers L2
Pre-Calc L2 (or perhaps Honors, depending)

Oh, and an odd thing about my school -
Our weighted GPA is rated on a different scale than from what I've seen. Honors are A=6, B=5, C=4, D=3. Level 2's are A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2. The GPA I calculated is calculated on what I perceive to be the "Standard" for wGPA's (A=5, B=4, and so on).
I had the chance to visit Middlebury over the summer and they specifically said that they prefer wGPA's over unweighted. I'm wondering how my school's standard will look to the school, and if it will help or hinder my chances of getting accepted.

My Extra Curricular:
Gay/Straight Alliance
French Club
Latin Club
Students Movement Against Cancer
Stage Crew
Book Club
I volunteer at a school for handicapped children frequently as well.

I will be taking the AP English and AP Psychology exams at the end of this school year, as well as taking the SAT a few times.

Thanks for paying attention, guys! I appreciate it!
