HI!
I have figured that UIUC will be my most realistic and ideal choice of a University to attend after I graduate high school in 2015. Although I feel somewhat confident in my GPA, my concern is that if one were to look at my grades, he could see that they have a downward trend: I received straight A's my freshman year, but I received two "c's" my junior year: one in physics and one in English. My junior year was difficult for me because I had to focus on recovering my health after an 5-year long eating disorder. I don't know if that information would be appropriate or not to put in an application in order to explain my lower grades.
Right now, I am hoping to apply to their college of education to study elementary education.

GPA: 3.7 (A-)
Honors: Spanish and AP bio
ACT: 26
Extra Curriculars: 6 years of concert band, 3 years of Marching band, 1 year of choir
Volunteering: over 250 hours (Animal Shelter, Retirement home, Hospital, mission trips and activities with youth group/mission team)

If any of you have any input, it would be so appreciated! Thank you and have a wonderful day!!
