I going to be starting my senior year of high school this September. I currently have a 3.88 as my GPA, but I will get it to a 3.9. I have a 1700 for SAT and I'm going to retake it for a higher score in October.

Which of the Ws are you talking about, Washington or Wisconsin? They both admit the same level of students…

University of Washington. I’m also planning on applying to Seattle Pacific U, Seattle U, and Western Washington.

WWU: Safety
Seattle Pacific: Low match
Seattle U: Low match
UWA: Aim for 2000+/29+

If I don’t get my SAT up to 2000+, just saying, would other factors help me get into UW?

At 2000+ UWA would become a low match. At 1700 UWA is a high match (can you pay full-freight? Even in-state, bursary status is a factor in admissions)

How come an SAT score of 2000+ would make UW a low match? Isn’t the higher the better?

A low match is better than a high match; the height of a match (and that of a reach as well) refers to the odds of rejection.

Oh OK! I get it. Getting 2000+ would be hard, but I’ll try my best to get as close as possible.
