SAT is low for engineering. What is your SAT Math sub score and what maths and physics have you had? That is what they are looking for, your math and science readiness. Even with the current freshman class having gone under holistic review for the engineering major, there are a lot that are struggling in Calculus 151 and potentially will drop the major or have to retake 151 in spring, which delays their entry to major. Getting in is the easy part. Staying in is a lot more difficult.
If your math skills and scores are not strong, you are looking at admissions to one of the engineering academies or you could be admitted to the uni and given your second choice major.
