Hi guys,
I'm pretty new here, I was just wondering what you though my chances of being admitted to Vanderbilt ED are. At the end of my freshman year and the beginning of my sophomore, I didn't do well in school, and I got pretty much straight Cs. I have turned myself, around, and after that I performed better in school, maintaining a B+/A- average. My overall weighted GPA is a 3.99, due to taking all high honors classes, however my unweighted is just below a 3. I am currently taking AP Calc AB and AP biology, along with high honors anatomy and physiology, english, debate, and year 5 latin. I took the ACT and recieved a 35, with a 10 on the writing section. I also took the SAT 2 subject tests and got a 750 on math 2 and a 730 on the biology one.
My extracurriculars in high school have been:
swimming (freshman and sophomore year)
debate (junior and senior year)
Democrat Club (junior and senior year, now serving as president)
Sports medicine club (junior and senior year)
Tutoring kids in the inner city (junior and senior year)
The summer after my freshman year, I did a summer program in Oxford and took a medical science class for four weeks.
I have also done a fair amount of physician shadowing in the past 2 years. I have spent around 200 hours shadowing with a head and neck surgeon at a local hospital from whom I got a letter of recommendation, and I travelled to Tanzania with a teen program and spent 100 hours shadowing doctors in hospitals there.
In my common app essay, I talked about how I want to be a doctor and what medicine means to me. I also included a statement about my immaturity freshman and sophomore year, and what I have learned from my mistakes, as well as highlighting the turn around which I have made.
I have also visitied campus, as well as spoken with my admissions counselor, though due to an error with the interview system, I was unable to do one with an alumni.

I know that the admit percentage of ED is much better than regular, and I was just wanted some insight into my chances of being admitted from people who know about the process.
