What are my chances of being transferred into TCNJ for Spring Admission?

I’m currently a communications major from NJ attending school in NY, but I don’t like the experience here.

I’m planning on applying as a Finance major, with a secondary option as a Journalism major.

In high school, I had around a 4.0 GPA with a 1390 SAT. In terms of accomplishments, I’m an Eagle Scout, am in NHS and participated in my school’s music program a lot.

I’m currently aiming for around a 3.5 - 4.0 GPA, but I would also like to know my chances with a 3.0.

I’m also very interested in applying for the Rutgers SAS program with hopes of getting into their Journalism program at their School of Information.

In general, the first thing you can do is look at section D of the Common Data Set…

TCNJ accepted about half of their applicants, and stated that a 2.5 is the minimum GPA needed. However, I also see:

What is the required minimum grade point average for a transfer student?
The minimum GPA to apply as a transfer student is a 2.5. The average GPA of a student who is
admitted is 3.0 or higher. Students seeking admission to some of the more competitive programs
may need higher GPAs.

So I guess it is how competitive the finance major is.
