I applied ED to the nursing program. I have a 30 on the ACT and a 3.7 UW GPA, 3.9 W. 2 APs, 6 Honors courses, Lots of different extracurriculars/volunteering and Varsity sports.
^ It is hard to tell. The merit scholarship money is doled out on a discretionary basis. The longer term trend for UM is to lower the amount of merit money and increase need-based aid so they can start to meet full need. My son applied EA and seemed to get more merit money $26k p.a., than kids from his school who applied RD. Good luck.
You might have a chance. I know of our neighbors child with a 32 ACT and 3.95 GPA that received a 25,000 per year scholarship. My Son also received the same with a 35 ACT and a 3.95 Un weighted GPA. I guess it would depend on The University of Miami’s endowments and how many applicants that have scores like you have and above. There max is 28,000 currently. Try, Nurses are extremly valuable. Wishing you the best!
