What are my chances of getting accepted into UT Dallas?

Hello, I am currently a senior and want to apply for early admissions. Rank is not exactly in my favor due to me being in such a competitive public high school. My class size is only 99. Really small, I know! My school is an early college so all my classes are either dual credit or just college credited, so I do think I have an advantage there being that all my classes were challenging. I also have accumulated 110 volunteer hours and hold a few leadership positions. I know I will probably end up under the reviewed admissions, but I still would like to know my chances. I intend on majoring in biology, but plan B is biochemistry.

Numbers:
High School GPA: 3.12
Rank: 65/99
College GPA: 3.4
SAT: 1480 (just retook in October)
ACT: 20 (retaking next week)

This has been on my mind for weeks so please comment. Please let me know my chances. Thanks!

i’d say you have about 20% chance of getting in. your SAT/ACT scores are pretty low for UTD.

I know UTD does not have a cut-off for ACT/SAT and GPA. With your score of a 20, you’ll enter the “reviewed admission process”. A strong essay, supplemental essay and letters of recommendation will be necessary for you to get in. I wouldn’t say you have no chance of getting in, but you’ll need to make up for your ACT and GPA elsewhere in your application. Unfortunately UTD is a state school which means they weight GPA and standardized tests scores the most heavily.
