I spent the first 2 and a 1/4 years of highschool screwing around, not believing in myself thinking I was stupid because I didnt know math that well.
I got an IEP (individualized education program) for mathematics junior year and now I can finally graduate because I was so incredibly behind in math that I only understand pre-algebra.Needless to say the schools I previously attended didn’t care that I was slow at learning mathematics but they pushed me through anyways thinking I was just being lazy, now I’m technically “special-ed” even though if they tried with a kid like me maybe I would have a chance.
So along with that, I slacked throughout high-school and only started to care until the second quarter of Junior year and managed to get pretty good grades that year which brought my cumulative GPA up from 2.1 to 2.528. I know, terrible.
But I’m estimating that if I maintain my all A’s before applying to ASU in January, I’ll have about a 3.0 which is the min. GPA for ASU.
I’m going to try my best to get good SAT and ACT scores (I will be taking these shortly) but I projecting that I’ll get a 800 on my SAT and a low score on my ACT because of the advanced mathematics that are on there. I’m trying to remain realistic.
So given the information, what would you say are my chances of getting into ASU?
