What are my chances of getting admitted to Chico State as a transfer student? and other CSU's?

Hi, I am a current transfer student majoring in Journalism- Public Relations. I have recently applied for the spring 2015 term for CSU's. I have a 2.9 cumulative GPA and hope to raise it to a 3.0 by the end of fall. I've done a ton of extracurricular activities, community service, and have had a couple of internships, but I know CSU's dont care much about that.

I'm from Socal. Los Angeles.

I heard Chico state was a fairly good/easy school to get admitted to? If so, what are my chances of getting admitted?
Also, I was wondering is it easier to get admitted in a spring term? rather than a fall term? Since there probably is less applicants in the spring compared to fall?

I notice that their acceptance rate is 62%, and the journalism program is not impacted.

Please can I get some feedback? (hopefully positive) - I would really hate to get the boot from all schools.

I've also applied to CSU East Bay, San Francisco State, and San Jose State.

All this waiting makes me nervous, but positive comments would ease the nervousness.

Thank you,

@collegeboii91‌ I’m on a similar path as you except I want to go into Business - Finance major. I’m at a CC and with a gpa of 2.96 looking to transfer for Fall of 2015. I want to apply to San Jose State or Long Beach State. I’m also a california resident. Can anyone tell me my chances?
