If someone can respond ASAP, it would be great.

You must be aware that this topic has been discussed quite often in this forum. Go back to the other threads, look at the candidates' resumes, and read the responses.

Go to the USNA web site, and look for the class profile. Use your math and Critical reading portion of the SAT only and compare each to the profile stats for math and verbal. Compare the rest of your stats to those of the last several classes. Remember that those whose stats are at the lower ends often are prior enlisted, have spent a year at NAPS or a Foundation school, are recruited athletes, or other "set asides". Unless you fall into one of the categories, you are competing with those at the middle to upper end of the statistics.

You next must determine how competitive your Congressional District is as well as your state. How many appointees came from your state? The larger the number, the more competitive it is. Again, the stats are available on the USNA web site.

The lack of any demonstrated athletic fitness or ability will prove a detriment. One must pass a Physical Ability (or is it Aptitude) Examination (PAE) to even be considered for appointment. Even if an appointment is forthcoming, midshipmen must pass a Physical Readiness Test each semester to avoid separation. The components and minimum achievement for both tests are available on the web site as well.

I will not provide the links to the information. My opinion is that if this is something you really want, you will spend the time researching it.

Good Luck in your quest.
