I’m going to apply to the united states naval academy but i realize that I’m just not gonna make it I’m just an average student with a 3.0 gpa leader of some clubs and around 400 hours of community service and no sports
but i am wondering can i go to a community college or university (my family is very poor) and fix up my transcript for like 1 or 2 years with NROTC and then apply to get an appointment at the naval academy. I know i will start out as a plebe but i believe this is my only chance at getting into the academy. I will join Sport and get Involve as much as i can with my school. I know I can just stay with NROTC or OCS and become an officer in the navy and that is plan B but the naval academy is my dream and i DO NOT want to enlist in the navy and try to get in that way. but will the navy academy look at my high school mistake or my college improvement
also is there a limit to how many college candidate the academy will accept? I also know that they don’t transfer credits
any feedback on my plan would great. what are my chances with this plan? BTW im entering my senior year of highschool.
Thank you
