what are my chances of getting in?

If you apply NOW, you’d probably be accepted based on your GPA.

Is your ACT low because English might not be your first language or for another reason (I don’t mean to sound rude).

Also, Bama wouldn’t reject you even if the 19 was too low. Bama would wait and let you retake and retake the tests.

but, if you apply now (early), Bama is easier on admissions.

Take the SAT as well. Some do better on it.

I agree… take the SAT as well.

What is the breakdown of your ACT? If you’re low in Sci Rea, we can give you tips…and the SAT doesn’t have th
at section.

BTW…when you apply, have your GC make a note as to why your test scores are low…because you’re a strong student otherwise.

And, you may need to include a teacher rec and writing sample.

And, yes, being Asian should help. :)

i did bad on english reading and math. i did really well on science. and idk why, i try hard. but i always do bad. :(.

What was the breakdown of your scores?

Do you have a friend who has done much better on those sections that would be willing to sit with you while you do a practice test so that the two of you can discuss the answers as you go along?

17 - english
17 - math
17 - reading
24 - science

Have you taken the SAT? If not, sign up for that.

Is English your first language?

Are you running out of time when you test (leaving unanswered questions)?

Do you use practice books?

Have you taken an ACT prep class?

Will your parents pay for you to get some ACT or SAT tutoring?

yes, im taking act tuturoing, and no. english is my 2nd language. and yes i sometimes run out of time. and im starting to use practice books for my last act test this october

Ok…so English is not your first language.

please have your GC write something about that. You’re able to do school work, hence your GPA.

Please sign up for the SAT as well for Nov.

Also…what state are you in? I think you should contact your Bama area rep to help you with admissions.

ok. thank you, and i live in Alabama
