Hi I'm a high school senior that recently applied to JMU
Im just wondering what my chances are at getting in:
I'm a OOS student and I'm white male

SAT: 1620(3 parts) 1050(2 part)
GPA: 3.48 unweighted 3.89 weighted
I'm received mostly A's in high school with a majority of my classes being honor level.
Also I've am currently taking 2 college level course which I will receive college credit for the year.

My extracurriculars include

4 years of football(2 year captain)
2 years of track(2 year captain)
I volunteered at a hospital for 3 years as a lab assistant
Volunteer at a local special needs program for two years
2 part time jobs
President of the Fitness association
Built temporary shelters for Hurricane Sandy and Irene victims

I'm just wondering what my chances are since this is my #1 school
Thanks :)

Honestly, my youngest got in with a resume far less impressive/extensive than yours (way back in the dinosaur era!!) and if I was on the admissions commitee (I’m not, sorry!) I would let you in no time. I won’t make any predictions but I can’t imagine someone like you NOT being admitted to JMU!! The only thing that might trip you up is the out-of-state thing and even then I don’t think it will be that much of a problem; a good half of my daughter’s friends seem to be from Pennsylvania, New York, or New Jersey so even if they do discrimininate against OOS kids it’s probably not a severe barrier especially for a candidate as strong as you.

My only suggestion would be to retake the SAT if you have the chance. It appears that you would have applied EA to JMU so you may be deferred to Regular Decision and get accepted then. They tend to defer alot of applicants that are accepted later on in the admission cycle.
