I am currently a Junior in high school and college is definitely on my mind. Im just wondering what my chances of getting into my dream schools with my current statistics/information.
With my courses this year I have an extra .857 weight with my honors (so if I got an unweighted GPA of 4.0, I would get a 4.857 weighted).
Also, Im am part of a class that requires me to have an internship with a professional from my desired career path where I will publish a research paper at the end of the year.
My cumulative GPA for high school at this time is:
Unweighted-3.79
Weighted-4.21
Extracurriculars/Leadership positions:
In school:
Track and Field- JV( hopefully Varsity from junior to senior year)
President of 3 clubs (1 which I created)
NHS
LNHS
Latin Club
New Student Mentorship club
Out of school:
I am a member of the Youth Advisory Council for my state
I spot on a panel about mental health
Belong to organization for helping youth in my state
HOBY alumni
Desired Major: Biology (Premed)
So here we come to my weakest point, my standardized testing…
I haven’t taken the SAT yet but my most recent PSAT score was a 1110 out of a possible 1520( this would be a 1168 on the new SAT). Yikes! Luckily, I have time to increase my scores. If I were to increase my score to a 1400/1600 on the SAT would that be enough?
