What are my chances of getting in?

I have a GPA of 3.05, and a 25 ACT, I just retook it and I think I did better.
Can you guys tell me what are my chances of getting in. I want to go into Finance/Economics, someone told me if I can't get into the business school, I should apply as undeclared and try to get a good GPA and transfer in my sophomore year.

thanks alot

Pretty borderline. On the one hand your trend is upwards and you took lots of honors/AP courses--especially in the sciences--which I presume is your major, but on the other hand your GPA is below IU's average--and the test score is at the low end also.

If your test score is upwards and you can explain that "D" in Honors Chemistry you'd be okay, but I really can't say for sure one way or the other whether you'd be admitted. If you apply early and explain the one grade you probably have a better chance. Either that or get great first semester senior grades and then apply. Those good first semester grades would probably also do it for you.

UPDATE: I received a 26 on the ACT and my current senior GPA is 4.17.
