Low GPA and no special activities.. will this be enough to get into this school?

There’s no set formula to get into GW. However, I will say this: GW makes their own composite ACT score, which is nice because I took it 4 times, and it’s not all based on test scores for them. Email people at the school, if a representative comes to your high school and hosts a meeting or whatever, go to it, get their business card, and talk to them if you have questions. They did that at my school and it turns out the same guy who led the discussion was at my interview and he remembered me, which was very cool. That brings me to my next point: do an interview. I’m way better in person than I am on paper and it gave me a chance to show my personality. Finally, write a kick butt essay. Don’t do something you think you should do, do something you want to do. They know if it’s not you writing the essay or if it’s a canned topic. It doesn’t have to be this intensely deep essay, but write about something that is important to you. Just make sure it’s from the heart. If you have any more questions feel free to contact me!
