Do I have a good shot at getting into the UM business program?
Anything I can do to improve my chances?

Write your essays well. You have a decent chance.

Your GPA/SAT scores are definitely there. Your class strength is about average, and your EC’s are really good.
I’m in the business school and I’ll post my stats just to give you an idea.

GPA Unweighted: 3.2
Class Rank: Top 7%
Sat: 1430/1600 2010/2400.
ECs: A bunch of random clubs that I didn’t contribute much to.
Class Strength: one of the toughest in my school.

I think you have a pretty good shot of getting in. With a great essay you are a shoe in.

^^
Your SAT (M/CR) score is 180 points higher than the OPs. Do you think the 180 SAT point difference offsets the difference in GPA? Which does Miami value more…GPA or SAT/ACT scores?
