Last year, I applied to Northeastern University and got accepted. Unfortunately, I couldn’t accept or deny the offer of admission due to some family issues that made me take some time off. I graduated high school, and now I want to reapply to Northeastern. This is my top choice school and I’m really worried that the fact that I didn’t accept the offer of admission could affect my opportunity of getting in again.
I doubt if it will affect your chances although it would have been courteous to have gone on their website and decline the offer. Will you be a freshman or transfer applicant?
I know and I regret not doing anything about it.
I will be applying as a freshman once again.
If I were you, I’d call the admissions office in order to talk to someone, explain the situation and get a yea or nay before you go ahead and apply blindly.
@JustOneDad I contacted the international admissions officer and she didn’t say anything about my chances of getting in. She just said that I would have to reapply and that’s it.
Okay, so now you know they’re accepting your application.
