What are my chances of getting into a four year college? Is taking AP classes worth it?

I have a 2.5 GPA. The final marking period is getting really hard and I feel like that number is going to go down. I failed geometry the first term with a 55 so I was put in a 2-year geometry course and I got a 85 the second term. This school year I’m taking 2 year trigonometry and I’m not doing so well. I am also in conceptual physics. These classes don’t look good on my transcript. I failed the chemistry regents with a 62. I did get a 98 in global, 82 algebra, and on the 92 biology regents. I won’t have a advance regents diploma since I’m in 2 year math course. My grades went downhill since 10th grade. Also I haven’t taken the SAT yet.
I didn’t do a internship. I am planing on doing some community service this summer. There is nothing amazing I can say about myself that would make anyone want me in their college.
I was recommended into AP English. Regular English was just reading and answering questions about books that are not difficult. Also writing journals. Its not that hard to get a 90. I feel like when I take the class I will struggle.I’m going to try to get into AP US. Is there a point in even taking them since the rest of my transcript is bad. I feel like there’s no point in taking them because I will struggle and probably still do bad. Also I will be taking them senior year and the colleges won’t see my grades.

AP’s are for people to can do good enough for the weighting to bring them over a 100 and/or are determined to get college credit. That’s my definition from experience, and your decision to make.

Honestly, you never know. It’s just your science and math that are bad. Look, I didn’t do amazing on the Chemistry Regents, I got an 80, but it doesn’t matter much. Regents don’t matter to colleges, especially outside of NY.
I would try a commuter colleges, as they often have more lenient admission policies.

Take the APs if you are willing to put in the time and effort. AP English isn’t bad if you are willing to write a few essays/stay on top of your reading and participate in class discussions. How about taking honors instead of APs?

I wasn’t recommended for honers but i’ll take the AP classes.

Well, you probably wouldn’t get into Stanford, but some 4-year university? Yes. What state do you live in? And how much can you pay for college?
