I'm a junior in high school and I've been doing a lot of research about the college that I want to go to in a couple of years. I live in VA, and I would prefer a respectable in state school without an obscene tuition. I would be a 1st generation college student, and I would consider myself "African American," since some colleges consider that.

My cumulative GPA is about a 4.1 (from freshman and sophomore years) and junior year I haven't gotten lower than a 4.4 so far (3 AP Classes, 1 Honors). I've taken the SAT once, and got a 2030 (680 R, 680 M, 670 W). I plan on taking subject tests in French and Math, and I took the World History one last year (got a 720). I got a 5 on the World History AP Exam last year, and I expect 4s and 5s this year. I have a few extracurriculars, like MSA, Psych Club, and School Newspaper. I also volunteer for outreach and stuff with the Heath Department in my town, but that's basically it.

I think I have a pretty good chance of getting into VT (Virginia Tech) and JMU, but I kind of want to aim higher as well. Would I have any chance at getting into schools like UVA or William and Mary?
