I really really want to attend Boston University. It is my dream school. Do I have a pretty good chance in getting in?? Thanks so much for your time and feedback guys! I really appreciate it :)

(PS: Cornell University is second choice. If you could tell me whether I have a good chance getting in there would be awesome! I know I put this under Boston University but I was just wondering :D)

I would say you have a very good shot. Your GPA and SATs(assuming you get that score) are outstanding. I had a slightly lower GPA and just got in yesterday actually  . I will say the only thing that may hurt you is 1), your extracurriculars are very “artsy” oriented, so if you are applying as a social science, music, or LA major, the extracurriculars suit you well. But if you are applying as a science or math major, these extracurriculars are not as attractive. Secondly, BU really lieks APs, as do most tier 1 schools, but especially BU. BU is on par with ivies in terms of how much they appreciate APs. They would rather your GPA be slightly lower with more APs, then the reverse. Nonetheless, you have taken lots of honors courses and you are still in a good place. BU is all about opportunity as well, it is taking advantage of your surroudings. For example, if you were offered 4 APs 11th grade, and did not even take one, they may look down upon you for that. I had 1 AP offered freshman year, 2 Sophmore, unlimited junior and senior. So I have taken about 15 APs

First of all, congratulations on getting in!! I hope you have a great time at BU next year
And secondly, my school didn’t allow me to take any APs in freshman year and I was allowed only one elective (picked band) for sophomore and junior year. If BU is aware of this fact, would it make a difference, even a slight one?
