I can’t give you any real suggestions because I don’t focus on science extracurriculars myself, but I can say for sure (based on reading so many CC threads) that your research stats make you an extremely competitive applicant. Not many people have published research papers in high school.

You should wait for the people currently in PLME to come give you advice. Sorry I can’t help! Try sending them a pm.

I’m a little confused, because I just answered your question in another thread about how to publish a scientific paper. I’m now doubting your assertion that you have 9 business articles and 3 scientific papers published, since you don’t seem to understand how that process works.

Really, your stats are great. PLME will next be looking at your medical background, which seems to be very limited besides volunteering at a hospital. What do you mean by “medical assistant at Yale?” Were you just shadowing a doctor, or did you actually get to participate in procedures (very unlikely for a high schooler).

I actually participated in procedures. And I should of clarified my question on the other thread. I’ve published articles alongside researchers, but I was wondering how I could do independent research and publish something on my own.

your chances are very high but if you don’t mind me asking how much do your parents make a year because I think you can definitely get a scholarship and how did you get a 2370 on the SAT how did you study for the exam?

I might as well chime in too because everything about this post seems off. How is that you are only an AP Scholar if you took 15 exams and received a 4 or above? At a minimum, you would be a National AP Scholar with a possibility of being a State AP Scholar depending on where you are from. Also, you couldn’t possibly know you are a National Merit Finalist in August.

Moving on, you spent four summers at various endeavors which means that you spent your school years taking 15 AP’s, 4 extremely difficult college courses, 200 hours at a hospital, research at UMichigan, 5 clubs (2 as president), published 9 business articles and 3 research papers, played varsity golf & tennis (they are usually the same season btw), and won gold medals in three different subject area Olympiads.

Sorry, but not humanly possible.

update: I saw that 5 days before you started this thread you asked someone how they were able to do research at UMich and how you could go about doing it. Magically, you claim to be doing research there as well.

To be honest with you, the PLME’s I know of don’t have as much experience with sciences as you do so I think you have a pretty strong chance of getting in. Best of luck!
