Help! BYU is the school I have been dreaming of getting into since I was born! I have a 4.0 gpa with 5 AP classes(3 AP history classes, AP French, and AP English Language). I am from the East Coast of the USA. My SAT score is 1250 which is equivalent to a 28 on the ACT according to BYU’s scale. My seminary attendance for all four years is roughly in the high 80%s. I’m worried because my SAT score isn’t a 1300 (which is the average SAT score- ACT average is 29.5).
Any thoughts/ words of potential encouragement?
If you’re Morman and your parents can afford it…you’re in. Your scores are close enough, and your gpa is excellent. I think you’ve got this in the bag.
Thank you!
I’m not so sure. I hate to be a downer, but on most of the more modern conversion charts I’m looking at a 1250 converts to a 26 ACT, not 28. Even with good other stats a 26 is at best borderline for Provo.
Better make sure you apply to Idaho as well.
