What are my chances of getting into Cal poly SLO?

SAT- 1270 (retaking it hopefully I do better)
Cal poly GPA- 3.76
unweighted 3.46
My MCA score is about 4250
The majority of my classes were either AP or Honors
I live out of state
I’ve done internships at laboratories and have over 100 hours of volunteering. I have leadership experience in teaching children dance.
I’m currently a senior in highschool and want to apply to the Agricultural department with a major in Animal Science

Based on the 2016 Freshman profile, you are below the averages for SAT and GPA. SLO does not list the stats for each major in the College of Agriculture and Environmental Science but Animal Science is the most competitive major. The Animal Science major has about a 42% acceptance rate.

No threshold for MCA score has been established but just based on your stats I would say a High Match/Low Reach. Bumping up your SAT score should help.

Cal poly does super score the SAT, so it should be easier to raise that 1270

Look up “Cal Poly Acceptance Rate” and its the first website that comes up
