What are my chances of getting into Computer Engineering at UOFT?

Hi, I am a currently in Grade 11, with a GPA of 4.20 out of 4. I am taking 3 APs, such as AP Physics, AP Spanish Literature, and AP Human Geography. Last year I took AP Spanish Language and got a 5 (it is worth knowing that my native language is Spanish). Next year, in senior year, I am planning on taking AP Calculus, AP English Literature, AP Computer Science A and AP Environmental Science. I wanted to know if this is enough to get into ECE or CS in UOFT. In AP Physics 1 I am averaging a 94, in Math, I am averaging a 96, and in English, I am averaging an 88, which I think are the most important subjects for ECE. Do I have a chance? By the way, I am Venezuelan.

You also need chemistry for engineering. Ontario students will have 2 years of chemistry and 2 years of physics. You should have a TOEFL or similar score.

I took AP Physics, which is like senior level Physics, which is what I saw in their webpage, and I got 104 in the TOEFL. Chemistry, on the other hand, I did two years, one in my international school, and another one at my normal Venezuelan school in 9th grade, and I don’t know if that is enough. Do you know if that’s enough?

An international school, by the way, is based on the US curriculum

You should be fine for chemistry and the TOEFL.

Grade 12 at an accredited high school with a high grade point average and high scores on SAT Reasoning/Redesigned SAT (including Essay) or ACT exams (including Writing Test Component). Excellent results in senior level (AP, Honors or Equivalent) courses, including Math (Calculus), Chemistry and Physics. Consideration is given for AP or SAT Subject test results in Math (Calculus), Chemistry and Physics.

Competitive applicants are expected to have two years of Chemistry and Physics as well as Calculus completed or in progress by their senior year. Students who are not able to take more than one year of Chemistry or Physics, who are not taking an AP course in that subject should arrange to take the SAT Subject test prior to the document submission deadline.

Applicants who have written AP exams, should present minimum scores of at least 4; SAT Subject tests in Math, Physics or Chemistry should be at least 650; ACT with scores of 26 in Math and Science. Please note that U of T Engineering does not grant advanced standing credit for AP courses.

I highly recommend that, even if you have taken 2 years of chemistry or physics, you take the SAT II exams for these, especially if you don’t have AP scores. The SAT II in Math 2 would be helpful as well.
