Students with a major of COMPUTER SCIENCE or UNDECLARED - ENGINEERING or ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCES and a class level of Junior or Sophomore or Freshman (Full).
Students with a major of ELECTRICAL ENGR & COMP SCI & MATERIALS SCIENCE & ENGR or ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCES AND NUCLEAR ENGIN (Open).
Open seating (Open).

I'm at position 138 (how is this even possible w/ 135 students on the waitlist???) on the waitlist.

Should I be looking for a different class?

The waitlist on the schedule doesn’t update in real time, there’s usually a delay. If your telebears was today, the waitlist on the schedule is probably from yesterday.

Which enrollment category are you in? If you’re a non-CS major, chances aren’t good… if you’re an EECS senior (or junior) it’s much better. What’s your plan B if you don’t get in? Can you leave it waitlisted and add something later (adjustment period) if you need to, or do you need to fit specific requirements (like upper div CS)?

I’m an EECS junior.

I was thinking if I don’t get it, I might have to enroll in an AC class later. But I really want this class so hopefully I will be able to take CS189 in the Spring (which has a strict pre-requisite of CS188).

What are my chances? I might have to drop this class and take CS61C if it’s not looking too good for me.

Sounds like you’d have an okay/good chance… though it might be best to do 61C anyways. It’s a pre-req for a lot of things, so putting it off if you like CS could be trouble later.
