What are my chances of getting into CSU/UCs?

My planned UC: UCI, UCSB, UCSD, UCD (my goal is UCI)
My planned CSU: CSULB, CSUF (any CSU here is fine)

GEOGRAPHICAL ORIGIN:
I used to attend a ‘top 100 in the country’ school but transferred to online school during my battle with depression and being hospitalized. I transferred to online school right before the second semester of soph-year started.

GRADES:

  • 9th grade (2/2 semesters) + 10th grade (1/2 semester): Before transferring, my GPAs (of each semester) were never below 3.2–including my academic, non-weighted GPA of 3.59.
  • 10th grade (2/2 semesters): After transferring, my GPA was 3.80
  • 11th grade (1/2 semester): haven’t gotten my report card b/c the semester hasn’t ended, but I have 5/6 A’s and 1/6 B.
  • grades, excluding my current 11th-grade ones: 17 A’s, 10 B’s.
  • I have more than 10+ honors/AP grades for each semester as well

SAT:

  • I haven’t taken the SAT yet and am planning to in December. However, my scores for SAT prep classes ranged from 1200 to 1500 out of 1600. My best essay had the score of 4/3/4. So, assuming I get a 1200-1500 and a 4/3/4 essay… what are my chances?

EC:

  • track & field (1-2 years & I got into varsity soph year aka my 2nd year), volleyball (summer league, 3+ years), class cabinet (1 year), 4-5 service clubs (2 years), volunteering at a doctor and nurse practitioner’s office, art (8+ years), debate club, internship at a business firm, choir (prior to high school), schooled at Pasadena Art Center (for more than a semester), Peer Leaders Uniting Students (PLUS), self-teaching how to code, started my own online thrift shop + embroidery service, and that’s all I can think of off the top of my head…

*I want to get a bachelor’s in nursing and eventually a master’s in nursing

**PLEASE help me! I wish I hadn’t let my stupid mental illness get in the way of my academic pursuit… I know UCs and everyone looks down on online schools, despite it/mine being accredited. Is there any way I can make up for it? Perhaps more ECs? better SAT score(s)? better grades?
ALSO: DO UCs CARE IF I TAKE MY (RECOMMENDED) 3RD YEAR OF FOREIGN LANGUAGE AND SCIENCE IN SENIOR YEAR? I’m taking physics in my junior year, but I don’t know if it’s accredited b/c online school… There were also complications with taking 7 classes for online school, so they made me hold of Spanish III.

very good chance!! Good luck!

OP HERE: I forgot to mention that I will be transferring back to my traditional/previous ‘top 100’ high school by next semester (2nd semester of junior year).

Calculate your CSU/UC GPA: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

Without real test scores it is impossible to tell you what kind of chances. UC’s and CSU’s do not care if you take your 3rd year of Foreign Language Senior year along with any science classes as long as you fulfill the a-g course requirements.

UC’s and CSU’s will look down on an on-line school as long as it is accredited. Have you checked to make sure?

I would add SDSU (direct admit Nursing program) to your list. You do realize that UCSB and UCD do not have a nursing major?

Sorry, meant to say that as long as the on-line school is UC approved, your application will not be looked down upon.

wait are you a junior or a senior?
