What are my chances of getting into Drexel with a scholarship ?

I am a junior in high school, i got to a private school in Maryland.
S.A.T- 1430 ; Math: 450, Critical Reading: 460, Writing: 520.
GPA. 3.4
I don’t play any sports, but i am going to try out for badminton in the spring. I volunteer at a homeless shelter everyday. I am currently at 435 hours. I have not taken the A.C.T yet. What do you think my chances are and what can i do to improve my chances of getting into Drexel?

To get in, you need to get your SATs up into the 1700-1800 or better range, and for a scholarship, you should be over 2000. Your GPA is also a bit low for scholarships. If you look at the website under admissions and the recent class profile, you can see the middle 50% of accepted students, and the middle 50% of AJ Drexel Scholarship recipients - we found this info to be pretty accurate indicators of your chances.

Hi! I agree that you should study over the summer and take the SAT again and aim for that 1700-1800 range. I applied to Drexel last year and my scores were in the 1700s but I submitted my ACT score instead. I was accepted and got the AJ Drexel scholarship along with some financial aid. I did not choose to go there because of financial reasons. I believe that with a higher SAT score, you would have a much higher chance of getting in. Oh and make sure you start your common app essay early, meaning this summer! Best of luck!!

You said that you submitted your ACT score instead…do you mind telling me what your ACT score was?

My D got a $19,000 AJ Drexel Scholarship. Her SAT was 1970 and GPA weighted is 4.2. She is also going to audition for a performing arts scholarship, which is up to $2,000 additional.
