<p>PLEASE HELP ME AND TELL ME WHAT YOU THINK MY CHANCES ARE!!!
I decided to apply Early Decision to Duke.
My SAT score is a 1970.
I have not received my SAT 2 scores yet but I took Math 1 and Spanish with Listening.
My GPA is a 3.9 unweighted but I am taking all honors classes--Latin 4, Spanish 6, Calculus, Advanced Biology, History, English.
I have done tons of community service since freshman year--I am in Junior Civitan and was president of my school's club both junior and senior year, deputy governor of the southwest district last year, and governor this year.
I have been in Model UN both junior and senior year and have attended numerous conferences.
I have ridden horses my whole life and received many awards.
I am in Spanish Honors Society.
I have been on the Honor Roll all four years of high school.
I am on Senior Committee-a group that plans events for the senior class.

<p>Admission to Duke with a 1970 is very unlikely. ED helps a little though.</p>
<p>The GPA and the ECs are very good. However, if there is any chance for you to take another SAT now, do it! A 1970 for Duke is pretty low and it may affect your chances. Right now, I’d say Duke is a high match for you. Good luck!</p>

<p>your ecs and gpa are good, but that sat may hurt your chances of getting in. applying ed should help a little, though. i’d say it’s a reach for you. good luck!</p>

<p>Have you taken any AP classes? Does your school offer AP classes?</p>
<p>I think honors isn’t as great on an app when you look at AP or IB…your SAT score breakdown isn’t as good as it should be for Duke (most people would probably still feel unsafe below a 720-740 per section). Your ECs are good, though. </p>
<p>Are you an URM? IF so, you have a little bit of a better shot…ED will help also.</p>

<p>SAT is too weak…unless of course you’re a URM (black or hispanic). Are you by any chance a URM?</p>
<p>I am not a URM… and all the classes at my school are already considered “AP” so they don’t offer classes with that title.</p>
<p>oh and my SAT 2’s are math 1: 600 and spanish with listening: 620</p>
