What are my chances of getting into Emory University

I really want to go to Emory, and if I do not get in I will go to Oxford and transfer after the two years. My mother works at Emory and is the head of psychology there(i know that gives a boost) and i am also a legacy. I go to a rigorous prep school in Atlanta that Emory knows well, and take all honors classes/AP classes. I also plan on doing early admission.
GPA:3.6
SAT 2170
700M 730CR 740W

Extra Curricular:
Black belt and six years of taekwondo
3 years of JV soccer
President of rock climbing club at my school
active member of spanish club at my school
Attended economics course at brown last summer

How do my chances look?

I believe that I have a good shot of admission to Emory, but your application blows my application out of the water… above average SAT, rigorous course load, and a very strong legacy connection, I feel very optimistic about your chances evan!

Did you “take” or attend the course? I don’t know if should go too far highlighting a course you “attended” (if it was some sort of summer program, highlight the whole experience).

And yes, you have a great chance.

I think you have a good chance. You are definitely a match!

Chance me?

You sat is great but how many AP classes have you taken? At school like emory 10 and above is the average.

Charlize that is not true- it depends on the high school. Two kids from our HS were accepted in recent years with far less than 10 APs. They were both Emory Scholars.

Actually I apologize for my comment. What I meant to say was that taking 10 or more AP classes is not necessary.

I think you have a good chance of getting in! Now you just need to blow them away with your essays. Statistics wise, I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to get in.
