Finishing up my essays right now, one is really good and the other one is not very good. My concerns are that I’m an out of state student so it’s harder to get in. Also, I got straight A’s/A-'s except for MV/Lin Alg, which I got a C- for MV and C+ for Lin Alg. One of my rec letters is from that teacher and he explains that I wasn’t slacking but it was just a really hard class. I also don’t really have a lot of extracurriculars, but swimming takes up a lot of time. Do I have a shot?

@letmein888 work hard on the second essay. I think the essays can be a difference maker. As far as ECs mine were similar to yours in that I really only had club and varsity soccer. UT uses your math and english/writing score from the ACT. Since you got an overall 35 I assume those are good too. You didn’t specify which discipline for Cockrell. Some like civil have more spots than others like biomedical. You have good stats but as you note OOS is a lot tougher.
