I did awful my freshmen and sopohmore year but did pretty well my junior year. My gpa junior year was a 3.7 and my total GPA from freshmen to junior is a 2.96. I am entering my senior year and am going to apply summer session and priority for Florida State University. My best SAT is a 1790, but I am taking it again. If i do well my first semester of senior year do you think I have a chance of getting in? Thanks.

FSU: High match

It’s a reach with your GPA.

For FSU:
The middle 50% of freshmen accepted in 2013 was:

3.9-4.7 weighted GPA; 1730-1960 SAT total

Improving your SAT would help, as would good EC’s, etc…They also like to see a positive trend in your GPA (like you have). However, you should treat FSU as a reach(apply) and make sure you’ve picked one or two safeties.

Good Luck!

Thanks, really hoping i can at least get into the high 1900’s with my SAT.

Based on your GPA it is a reach… http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1542320-chance-me-u-m-northwestern-purdue-engineering.html

Chance me back

I gave a high match verdict assuming that he would put his act together senior year + upward trend…
