What are my chances of getting into Gatech?

Hello,

I have long quarreled with me, but then ask thought costs nothing. As the title suggests, I wonder how likely Gatech for me? I would also not arrogant or sound like, I just do not know what my future looks like and do not want to mess up but by ignorance and give me clarity this.

Why Gatech?

I honestly do not know. Probably because Gatech from my understanding here is simply the best I can get is a dream. I am still quite happy that I go to school, because I fear for the future have really, because I have no plan. I can also appreciate that bad itself but me.

SAT: 720M 670CR 680W 2070/2400
SAT II : 740M 750P 690C 2180/2400
109 TOEFL
99.0th percentile in national exam.
That is certainly not worthy of Gatech.

1 stellar (MIT graduate), 2 great (MIT and Gatech graduates) and 2 decent (Cambridge and Berkeley graduates) recommendation.

Extra-curricular activities: I am successful programmer and Fellow for dedicated students, young journalist and photographer, contestant in the national science olympiads.

Even if I had even the slightest chance, it seems difficult for the financial situation. I will indeed now time to inquire my foundation and use their contacts, but there are at Gatech or general special support for cases such as me?

I want for now only times ask too many questions, but you can guess that I still have a lot, even for SAT and TOEFL, and more. I am happy about every answer, tips and suggestions to help me, as you can imagine certainly, infinitely more.

First of all, Georgia Tech only accepts 1 recommendation on the Common App, and it has to be from a teacher.

I think you have a decent chance of getting in, but it all depends on how you frame your extracurriculars and how good your essays are. I think you should try studying more for the SAT and retake it because your score is a bit low.

From your post, I think unless you practice writing English or have people review your essay, your language skills might be a barrier preventing you from showing yourself as best as you can and might prevent you from getting in.

Tech does not award international financial aid, but it suggests private loans for international students (http://finaid.gatech.edu/loans/private).

Good luck!

If you can’t do well on the SAT do the ACT! Don’t limit yourself. I also think you have pretty good chances, i had about the same stats as you (3.8 gpa, 740 sat math, 740 phys, 750 chem, 2150 sat) and got in early
