Your GPA is lower than average, but your other stats are impressive. What kind of interest did you show in the school? Were you able to make it up to D.C. for a tour? Have you made any effort to reach-out to anyone in the Admissions office? I think that if you wrote a strong essay and did a good job conveying interest in GW that you have a decent enough (maybe slightly below average?) shot at getting accepted.
I also saw that you intend to go pre-med. If you get accepted, prepare for a rough ride. A lot of the pre-med courses at GW serve as a way to “weed out” students and make sure that only the serious ones make it through. One of my best friends made it through (and did exceptionally well, overall) so I saw firsthand what he went through, haha.
I toured GW in October and I was also accepted into the diversity and inclusion program in the fall but couldn’t go. I’ve talked to a couple different admission representatives that have visited my school. My essay is strong; I’ve had several eyes look at it including my college counselor.
Sounds like you did “all the right things” to show the Admissions folks your interest. Thankfully, you don’t have too much longer to wait to hear back. Good luck
When should we hear back? @NHuffer
Mid-February per GW’s website.
I got in
@mxl322 That’s excellent- congratulations! The next few months should be even more exciting with scheduling a CI session and preparing for classes/housing applications. Be sure to check back in if you need any help
