What are my chances of getting into Georgetown?

female, white

SAT
1st time: 640 CR, 690 Math, 670 Writing
2nd time: 680 CR, 690 Math, 760 Writing

ACT: 34

2nd in class (Salutatorian, 99.867 unweighted)

Ive taken 3 APs and Im taking 5 this year, play Varsity lacrosse, co president of class, multiple multiple multiple other extracurriculars, 80ish community service hours

800 student Catholic private High School in upstate NY

I know my standardized test scores aren't as impressive as others, but just wondering what you think my chances are? I have taken the subject tests yet but Im hoping for around 700s on all 3.

Also, theres only 1 other guy applying to georgetown from my school. We've got the same ACT but my SAT is 40 points higher and hes only 6th in ranking. He applied early and got deferred so now we're going up against each other kinda.
Do you think this increases my chances of getting in? Since theres 2 of us from the same school, I doubt theyd accept both of us but probably 1 and Ive got better scores/grades/clubs and stuff?

Your chances are better than mine…

I think you’ve got a pretty fair chance, but I would NOT submit the SAT scores, which are mediocre for GU. The 34 ACT is much better than your 1370/1600 SAT.
Good luck.

erm don’t submit your SAT score unless ye really have2 :o

a 34 ACT - 1510/1600 on SAT 1, without writing and you have a 1370 on the SAT :S

however, did u take the ACT with writing? because if not, you might have to submit the SAT because it includes the writing portion, but it won’t go against ye because 2100+ overall is a decent score =)

also, are ye plannin on applying to the college? because your chances for that look decent, because of ur class rank and GPA, however if yr applying to SFS or somethin, then chances are a bit lower because of their higher average SAT score =/

be aware that Georgetown does have an all-score policy, which mandates that you submit all scores across all SAT/Subject/ACT dates. Otherwise, the GPA reflects a very good chance at getting in, as does class rank.

I had a similar SAT (I got a 2110), and got a 34 as well. I was accepted. Two other people applied from my school early and me and another girl got in. So who knows? you maybe both be accepted.
