What are my chances of getting into Georgia Tech???

<p>Georgia Tech is absolutely my dream school.. I want to go for engineering I'm just not sure what kind yet. </p>

<p>How difficult is engineering at Georgia Tech? and what makes it difficult? Just the information itself or the work load? I know it probably depends, I was just curious.</p>

<p>I'm also curious to see what my chances of getting in are. My GPA is low, it's a 3.4 on the Georgia Tech scale.. (which says that the average GPA is a 3.9) and so far my SATs are 1960/2400. I'm planning on taking them once more and breaking 2000. Would being out of state and being a female help my chances of getting in? Thanks!!!</p>

<p>Being female will definitely help your chances, but not really being out of state…
Honestly I think with your GPA and current SAT, GT is a bit of a reach; just shoot for 2000+ on the SAT next time and use first semester senior year to raise your GPA, and continuing taking difficult classes! </p>

<p>I want to go to Georgia Tech too!! I have a 3.44 GPA, and i’m trying to get to a 2100. I think you should too, and you’ll probably get in since youre a girl :slight_smile: good luck! maybe we’ll meet when we both get in!</p>
