i am a high school junior and was wondering if i can get into Georgia tech with a 3.0, since i would have taken nine AP classes before i apply.I am also Captain of my schools bowling team and I participated in this sport and four other after school clubs for two or more years.

There are other factors that matter also besides GPA and AP classes like SAT/ACT scores, extra curricular activities , outstanding achievements, great LOR’s and personal essay.

You should probably recalculate your GPA with .5 added for all 9 AP courses. Assuming you’ve taken 15 core courses and your GPA is a 3.0, your Tech calculated GPA would be 3.30, so no, unless you’ve got amazing SATs, you probably are a fairly large reach.

that 3.0 is going to hurt your chances tremendously…don’t fail to take into account you are competing with 4.0 valedictorians nation wide…so with that said…you need to find something that will make you stand out…and truly be attached to it…with that said…you NEED to get at least a 32+ on ACT or 2100+ SAT to help your chances
