I have a 3.55 gpa, my SAT scores are pretty low right now but I am taking the SAT two more times (1020).
I've taken 3 AP's and plan to take 4 more my senior year. I've been taking all honors classes.
I cheer competitively 4th-8th grade.
I cheered for my school 6th-10th grade and on the schools competitive team 9th and 10th.
I was captain three times.
I've won the leadership, MVP, and All American award through cheer.
I swim with a year round team and for the schools varsity team 9th-11th.
I've done DECA, Operation Smile, Sunshine club (Historian), and Spanish club (President).
Over the summer I work as a lifeguard, teach swim lessons and coach for the neighborhood swim team.
Also my grades have improved every year, I've heard JMU looks at improvement but I'm not sure if that is true.

I had a 3.59 GPA and got in (granted i got a 3.3 fresh, then 3.7 soph, and 3.8 junior). Basically my only “big” extra curricular was DECA so I think your good in that department. I would get your SAT score up, I got a 1220 (which is definitely an attainable score) so if you get around that you should be fine. Haha you should be fine, JMU is a great school (from what I’ve heard) but isn’t super difficult to get into. Good luck!

@123redskins thanks!
