What are my chances of getting into JMU?

I have a 3.55 gpa, my SAT scores are pretty low right now but I am taking the SAT two more times (1020).
I've taken 3 AP's and plan to take 4 more my senior year. I've been taking all honors classes.
I cheer competitively 4th-8th grade.
I cheered for my school 6th-10th grade and on the schools competitive team 9th and 10th.
I was captain three times.
I've won the leadership, MVP, and All American award through cheer.
I swim with a year round team and for the schools varsity team 9th-11th.
I've done DECA, Operation Smile, Sunshine club (Historian), and Spanish club (President), SCA class rep, student mentor.
Over the summer I work as a lifeguard, teach swim lessons and coach for the neighborhood swim team.
Also my grades have improved every year, I've heard JMU looks at improvement but I'm not sure if that is true.
I want to major in Biology/pre med.

You have a good chance.

1020/1600?

Yes @Rurouni

The 1600 version will not be out until next year.

Excuse me for reading the wrong parts of your post. After rereading it, I think your chances are faint to decent.

you have a good chance OP

Thanks for your input @wannabefeynman and @Rurouni, much appreciated.

@timegirl‌
How is it out of 1600? That will not be in effect until Spring 2016, I believe.

It is my reading and math score. @wannabefeynman

Ok. How about your writing score?

@wannabefeynman pretty dang rough, 490. Hoping to get them up a lot in the upcoming tests, I signed up for a course.

An SAT composite score of 1510 is very low, which will lower your chances. Definitely retake it and attempt to improve.
