what are my chances of getting into Johns Hopkins University via Early Decision?

Hey everyone! I'm currently a junior, and I was hoping someone can give me an idea on my chances of getting into JHU early decision.

Grades:

My grades ARE NOT perfect, I haven't received straight As, especially freshman year, I got a C.

*however, please bear in mind that I have always taken the most advanced courses offered.

Most colleges don't even look at freshman year grades, right?
- other than two Cs, I have pretty much gotten all As.

sophomore year schedule: (H stands for Honors, I took the only honors courses offered and ap is not offered until junior year)

Junior Year (the most ap classes anyone can take is 4)

Calculus (other semester at local community college)
- I need one more class, it just depends what is open 2nd period.

-I know that my grades aren't stellar, but I have A LOT of extra curricular activities:

Clubs: service clubs; key club, special friends club, green club (activities commissioner): other clubs; book club (vice president), class (treasurer, secretary), black box club (vice president)

Sports: 1 year of softball, 1 year of track, 4 years of basketball, 4 years of club (travel) basketball during off-season.

Volunteer work outside of clubs in school: Assistant Girl Scout Troop leader (8-11 year olds; we do various work throughout the community that would take forever to name all of it), volunteer at a diabetic summer camp for children, assistant coach to girls basketball team (5th and 6th graders) , assistant coach to girls softball team (10 U).

Work experience: Referee for basketball from November- February. Also participating in Youth Conservation Corps in Yosemite National park for 8 weeks during summer after junior year.

ALSO : I'm going to be interning with a pediatric cardiologist during my senior year.

I want to be pre-med at Hopkins, and I think I want to major in neuroscience.

My ACT is 33.
also taking subject tests in june.

So, what are my chances? :) Thank you!

You have a chance, just keep in mind having a lot of extracurriculars isn’t the point. The point is to have meaningful, interesting ECs.

Thanks! So do you think that on my app I should only put the extra curriculars that I have been most involved in?

Yeah, probably the most meaningful ones to you.
