College Essays: Pretty decent/ good-- always get around a 9 or 10 on the essay portion of the ACT!

Ethnicity: Asian American

Residency: Out-of-state (AL)

So yeah, I think that is it? I had remained an all-A student for sooo long until Physics this year. I no longer have a 4. something GPA for my senior year, but it is still a very high B, so I am hoping colleges won't be too turned off by that! Tell me what you guys think! I also applied for an interview, so hopefully that will boost my chances some as well.

Your test scores are a little low for JHU. I’d retake if you can!

Yeah, I’m not really the best standardized test taker in the world-- 29 was the highest I could manage sadly. But I do have a 30 superscored, and that falls in their 50% mark…? I know I’m one point off from actually being in their mid, but I hope I still have a bit of a chance considering the other factors and such?

JHU: Reach

What’s your backup plan?

Mhmmm, it’s my top dream school at the moment haha. I mainly just want to go to a great school out of state. Right now I have been accepted to Auburn, UAB, and Penn State-- Penn State is my ultimate fall back as of right now. Still waiting to hear back from my overall reaches, though: Emory, UCLA, Johns Hopkins, and University of Chicago!

Its not all about scores! believe me I got a 31 and a 2040 SAt and got in ED this year to Hopkins.

Haha I really hope so Mandy67! I am really and truly hoping that my essays and letters of recommendation will put me over the top, but I guess we will see come April 1!

By the way, congratulations! That’s awesome: you must be so excited! : D

I am definitely very excited!
I wish you the best of luck with all your apps!!

Aww thanks!-- Yeah, all the luck in the world could help at this point!

depends on the program. Medical you need to have an amazing transcript…

I want to major in nursing  To be a nurse practitioner one day.

JH doesn’t super score the ACT.

Thanks PsychoDad10! Ah well. Again, hopefully those other parts will be the deciding factor.
