I applied for early admission, and I just received word that they're going to have to see my first and second trimester grades before making a decision. I have a 3.29 GPA and a 22 ACT with a ranking of 29 out of 114 in my class. I got a 3.35 my first trimester because I didn't anticipate this to happen so I didn't really try that hard. I will be retaking the ACT in February and I plan on trying the hardest i've ever tried in my life to get a 4.0 or as close as I can to it this trimester. I was wondering what my chances would be to get into Michigan State? Should I send in an essay and reccomendations? I'm a 100% South Korean American. I'm almost an eagle scout with 6 years in boy scouts, have 126 hours of community service, 4 years of football, 2 varsity letters including most improved, most vaulable and a 4 year ironman (never miss a single practice in 4 years). 4 years of track and field with 2 varsity letters including most improved. 2 years of basketball. Participate in indoor track meets all winter. 4 years of student council and 4 years of marching/pep/symphonic band including being 1st chair as a freshman and vice president. Member of SADD and the Green Team. Just the jist of my EC's.
