Are you California Resident? If OOS, you will full pay at $65K/year to attend with little to no financial aid.

UC’s calculate their admission GPA with only 10-11th grades with extra weighting for UC approved Honors classes (CA residents only), AP, IB or DE (CA residents only) up to 8 semesters for the Capped weighted UC GPA and unlimited for the Fully weighted UC GPA. Senior year grades are not considered in UC admissions but HS course rigor is very important.

Will you have all the UC a-g courses completed including 1 year of a Visual/Performing arts course?

Here is the calculator: https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/

SAT extremely low of both UC’s.

Below are some UCLA/UCB stats which is not major specific but for Engineering you will need higher than average stats for a decent chance.

2018 Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79 capped weighted and not major specific:
UCB: 1%
UCLA: 2%

2018 Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19 capped weighted and not major specific:
UCB: 10%
UCLA: 9%

2018 UC capped weighted GPA averages:
UCB: 4.23
UCLA: 4.23

2018 Data:
25th - 75th percentiles for SAT:

UCB: 1360-1540

UCLA: 1340-1540

The GPA/SAT would not bode well for Cal/UCLA.

BU/NYU are going to be reaches as the sub 1000 SAT score will be hard to overcome unless you have some sort of hook.

Don’t know what your home state is, but if isn’t California, UCs will be expensive. BU and NYU are also not the greatest when it comes to financial aid.

Check some test-optional schools.

Almost no chance for cal, ucla, nyu&bu

No chance at UC’s except perhaps Merced if you’re instate, no chance at BU/NYU.
FIU: retake sat/act in June/July; apply as soon as you have
Possible colleges: St Mary’s of California the, Cal Lutheran, LaVerne - if you’re in California.
Otherwise: UMW, Virginia Wesleyan, Coastal Carolina, Stetson, Barry, st Bonaventure’s, Hiram, Capital Ohio, Chatham…
What’s your budget?
