what are my chances of getting into nyu stern?

<p>hi, I am a high school junior at the #10 high school in my state and my number 1 choice for college is nyu stern. can you please tell me my chances of getting in. </p>

<p>-3.4 GPA
-2200 SAT (with and 800 in math, 710 cr, 690 writing)
-750 math 1 SATII
-730 math 2 SATII
-english Honors freshman, sophmore, junior year (ap enlgish next year)
-took alg 1, geometry, alg 2 H, Trig, Precalc, and will take AP calc next year
-chemistry H & bio H
-will take french all 4 years
-eccomerce & entrepeneurship
-will take ap economy
-i get mostly A's & B's (except my sophmore year, i got really sick and ended up with 2 C's.. will that effect me and my chance?)
extracurriculars:
-Interact (community service club) - 3years (soon to be 4)
-Future business leaders of america - 2years (soon to be 3)
-Peer leaders (help underclassmen and promote healty lifestyle, for juinors&seniors, 40/120 people got it), my position is fundraisers committee head - will be 2 years
-Student council - 2 years (soon to be 3)
-job at a clothing store - started this year
-international sleepaway camp counselor
-babysitting since middle school</p>

<p>my first choice is NYU stern and majoring in finance, but i am willing to switch to another nyu college if my chances of going to stern is not great. I am just extremely determined to get in. can you please tell me if i have a good chance in getting in. thanks!</p>

and i also go to my churchs summer program every summer</p>

<p>I think you need stronger EC’s/leadership positions. It’s not that you hold the position, it’s how you affect change within that club.</p>

<p>i agree with fdsjaif you need to show that you impacted the club significantly. Although 3.4 is a low UW GPA since you are ranked #10 in you class they will account for grade inflation/deflation unless class size is less than 100. Your SATs are also very good overall- pick one or two clubs you are very passionate about and try to get good leadership roles in them</p>
