I'm currently a high school junior. I haven't taken the SATs or ACTs yet but I took the PSAT in October. I get those scores later this month but I felt pretty confident while taking them to be honest.

Unweighted GPA of 4.62
Weighted GPA is over 4.0 because A+s count as 4.33 at my school.
Currently in Honors English III, Honors Algebra II, Honors US II, Honors Chemistry, Spanish III, Sociology, and TV Production II (the last two are my electives). I took four honors courses my sophomore year as well, and two my freshman year (English and Algebra I). Next year I do plan to take at least one AP course, most likely AP European History and possibly AP Chemistry (or if not, then Honors Organic Chemistry).
I'm currently in the top 4% of my class, ranking 34th out of about 850 students.
As ECs go I take guitar lessons, and I know NYU values musical ECs very highly. Lots of volunteer work and many clubs including Rotary Interact, Red Cross Club, Spanish Club, and GSA (gay-straight alliance) which I am the president of. I'm also a member of the History NHS (since sophomore year) and Science NHS. I can apply for the English NHS later this year, as well as Spanish. I didn't have enough community service to get into the NHS this year, but next year I definitely will.

NYU has been my dream school for a long time now and I'd do anything to get in. Does it look like I have a good chance? My guidance counselor told me I probably do as long as I pick up my rank a little and score well on the SATs and ACTs.
