I am a Hispanic female who is first generation American, and will be applying for financial aid. I am bilingual and speak both Spanish and English.
As far as my grades go, I think I’m fine:
Math - A
L.A - A+
Reading - A+
Science - A+
Religion - A+
S.S. - A+
Because I go to a parochial school, its rather small, and “honors” isn’t offered. But I am in the highest level of math available in my school, which is Algebra I.
I take part in:
band
student leadership
book club
forensics (public speaking)
Peer Leadership
Tutoring ( I tutor the younger grades)
volunteering
swim team
karate
I am also part of the National Junior Honor Society, and have received the principal’s award. I have my interview already scheduled and I am studying for the SSAT. Most of my teachers love me, and I think the recommendations will be okay.

You look good to me assuming the SSAT is equally strong; being a URM is a strong hook, and if you can add to their swim team that’s another hook. But remember that no one can predict your chances for sure. I feel like I keep repeating myself on these posts, but have you reached out to the swim coach? Also, are you applying to any other schools? Mercersburg is a strong swim school in the same part of the country and I’ve read so many positive things about it here on this forum. BTW Peddie is the school I loved the most when my kid was applying. In particular I was impressed with their arts faculty and programs. Have you also submitted a music supplement to your application? I wish you the best of luck!!

URM is the acronym for underrepresented minority.
I think you’ll do fine if you nail your SSATs and interview.
I just recieved my ssat scores and i got a 2128. Is that good or bad?
