I'm currently a sophomore in high school
freshman year - 3.5 GPA weighted only 2 honors classes, and the only extracurricular activities i had were track and intramural basketball.
this year - 3.7 GPA the first marking period- 4 honors classes( 2 sciences and one engineering honors class) and one ap class. My extracurriculars are same as last year plus, boy scouts, 50 hours of community service and 2 clubs. Since I'm getting used to a much more rigorous schedule my GPA started out low. By the time this year is over I'll have around a 3.9-4.0 weighted GPA.

Will colleges understand that since I lacked maturity and since I moved aloth it has changed my personality greatly. I overcame my addiction to video games and I have replaced that with weight lifting and reading books. This caused me to have a bad start. In my high school they show the cumulative GPA for every year, so will PSU understand my upward trend? In my junior year I will take more AP classes. I also hope the make the jv basketball and football teams, national honors society and maby debate club.
