Please chance me, and when you're done, link me to your chance thread! :)

wow, those are some incredible EC’s. Out of HYPSC, you’re almost assured admission into at least one, assuming you write strong essays and recs are enthusiastic. I would say you’re in at most of the remaining schools on your list as well. Chance me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1360155-chance-low-gpa-high-test-scores-will-chance-back.html</a></p>

thank you! anyone else?

bumppppppppp

Solid chAnce at all, in at UCLA and I personally think you’ll get into Cornell. Nothing to do but work hard on your essays! Good luck!

Thank you! :)

I thought that a social science research project for SIEMENS must be from an accredited institution with mentors/professors? Otherwise, above average chances.

Princeton SCEA
Stanford- Reach for everyone
Columbia- low-mid reach
Harvard- Reach for everyone
Yale- Reach for everyone
Cornell- high match
U Penn- low reach
UC Berkeley- Match
UCLA- Match
Duke- mid- reach
Northwestern- Match

Chance me???

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1359833-chance-umiami-will-chance-back-very-desperate.html</a></p>

You will most likely get into one or more of those colleges, although I personally would add a safety or two to that list. With the Ivies, nothing is certain.

You have a solid chance at any of those schools, but you know that already. -.- Just get some safeties and you’re good to go…

And of course, write some awesome essays. (:

thanks everyone! would you say UCI and UCSD would be solid safeties…? or should I pick another couple of schools?

Greetings from the Admissions Corner!

Your academic portfolio and extracurriculars are both very strong. You’re position as #1 in your class will also be of great aid to you. The strong dancing credentials, paired with the MUN accomplishments, particularly impress me. My only concerns with your application are that you received a 4 on the Chem AP (not good for someone who plans on majoring in Chemical Engineering) and your complete abandonment of Spanish after your sophomore year. I also see that your Science Olympiad captain. However, you’ve failed to earn any awards at the Olympics. Your devotion to the sciences could be doubted; doubling up in them will not cover for a lack of accomplishment outside of your school. Simply presenting a paper does not warrant it any merit. I’d be curious to see what your essays and recommendations look like. Good application. I’d say you have a better than good chance everywhere except HYPS, which, as others have said, are reaches for everyone.
Sincerely,
the sport of running

Thanks for your careful consideration! I actually have won medals at Science Olympiad which I forgot to write and I couldn’t go any farther with Spanish because it was only offered the same class period as Calc BC, so I basically was forced to choose between Spanish and math…will that really hurt me?

…?

…?

Wow! Absolutely fantastic. I wish you the best and believe that you have a tremendous chance at all of these schools!!

Obviously you can never know, but I’d be surprised if you didn’t get into at least one of HYPS. You’ve done some incredible things!

Thank you so much!!!

Hi derivative22, I sort of agree with runningisfun however for Stanford (I’m not sure about other schools although I have heard the following does apply to other HYPS schools), they do not look at which major that you’re applying for when deciding who to accept/reject. Instead, they look at the overall student and you are an outstanding individual with great EC’s and grades/scores! Good luck! Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1362630-chances-feedback-college-list.html</a></p>

Yeah…I know I haven’t achieved that much in math and science but I really am passionate about engineering and I intend to try to convey that in essays!
Chancing you right now!
